I
have completed 3 courses with Sue (Anatomy and Physiology, Therapeutic
Massage and Clinical Aromatherapy) and gained excellent grades which
I thought I would never achieve, but with Sue's excellent teaching
skills and confidence she gave her students, I was able to reach
a much higher level of grade than I thought I was originally capable
of. I used to look forward to my classes as they were made
so enjoyable by Sue and fellow students. I shall be returning
to do other courses in the near future.

I would like to thank you for a very enjoyable and inspiring couple of days on the second advanced massage CPD. Once again, I left Filey with my head buzzing with information and new practical techniques to improve the treatments I can give, as a result of your patient and expert tuition.

Having recently attended an Clinical Aromathapy Diploma course at the Evron Centre, for which I gained a Distinction, I can only sing the School's praises.
The location of the school is both beautiful and breathtaking; the course was very informative with comprehensive notes and handouts and the tutor, Sue Lincoln, was inspirational, patient, and made our learning very enjoyable.
My recommendation is that I would not hestitate to attend further courses in the future.

Dear Sue
Thanks for a really useful four days on the Advanced Massage Course. As you know I am a studying physiotherapist previously having completed a Sports Science Degree and Post Graduate Diplomas in Sport Management as well as running a health club, working for Newcastle United Football Club, lecturing in Sports Science and Management at University of Northumbria and Newcastle College.
In the past I have obviously experienced many sports/exercise type courses and would rate your course extremely high. Not only was it useful in terms of the content, I found your overall knowledge and experience of palpation, anatomy and techniques of massage invaluable to what I intend to practice in the future. The course was formal enough to learn, yet friendly and informal with all students feeling comfortable to ask questions and receive really good advice and guidance. Overall I feel eager to become an ‘expert ‘ in my field of study and its really good to come across someone who also strives for this.
p.s. there are three or four other physio students who are interested in doing your course – they will be sending an email soon for details.
I wish you all the best for the future and hope to attend more of your courses.
Cheers

Just wanted to say thank you for the excellent advanced massage course, it was fabulous. You obviously know your subject inside out, and your teaching style was extremely effective. I had a great time and learnt a lot.
I'm using some of the techniques and getting some positive feedback, so I'll keep an eye on things and let you know of progress a bit further down the line.

Sue,
Just to say thanks for a great course.
It has definitely made a huge difference to my work and is getting good results. My confidence has grown enormously and my knowledge of muscles has improved no end! One client had been to doctors, had pain killers and muscle relaxants over a 4 month period with no improvement and been threatened with steroid injections as the next step. One visit to me showed real improvement, she's now pain free and coming back for regular monthly massage. I wouldn't have had the confidence to tackle her problem before your course, would have recommended a physio and lost the client to someone else. Thanks!
I hope to do another course at some future date and meantime will recommend the school to everyone this side of the Pennines!
Thanks again for a great 4 days.
All the best, Mary Nicholas, Advanced Massage Techniques, Cumbria, May 2007

Dear Sue,
I just wanted to drop you a quick line to thank you for a really professionally presented course on Saturday.
So often I have gone on courses for CPD only to be disappointed with the presenters knowledge. I found your course to be of a really high standard. I thought you were knowledgable, approachable and you made the day fun.
Thank you.

It is wonderful to find a quality training establishment so close to home. I am sure I will be back as soon as finances allow. I am particulary interested in more massage techniques.
Thank you again Sue. Best of luck in all you do.

I can highly recommend the "Sue Lincoln School of Holistic Therapies" to any prospective students. When I was looking for a School to study complementary therapies it was extremely important to find one that taught to the highest clinical standards and allowed membership of the relevant professional bodies. The Sue Lincoln School of Holistic Therapies meets all these criteria.
To date, I have completed the courses in Anatomy & Physiology and Clinical Reflexology. Both courses are highly enjoyable, although very challenging and the amount of portfolio work required is substantial. There is an excellent balance of theory and practical classes and between understanding both the clinical and holistic dimensions of the therapies. Sue provides the highest level of support at all times ensuring thorough preparation for exams. All course content is in-depth ensuring that Therapists are fully trained, prepared and confident to handle anything in the "real world" once qualified. On the same day that I received my Reflexology exam results (a distinction), I was offered a job as a part-time Therapist and have also set up my own business. Undoubtedly, this is thanks to the confidence from being taught by Sue to such a high standard.
I am currently studying Indian Head Massage and Therapeutic Massage at the "Sue Lincoln School of Holistic Therapies" and looking forward to starting my Clinical Aromatherapy Diploma next year.

I am on my third programme at the Sue Lincoln School of Holistic Therapies, having successfully completed the Anatomy & Physiology and the Therapeutic Massage courses. I am now studying Clinical Aromatherapy and thoroughly enjoying every minute of it.
I have done a lot of studying through my life and I work in education too, so I think I can say, very confidently, that the Sue Lincoln School is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to study therapy in a professional environment that will lead to a nationally and internationally recognised qualification. Not only that, but studying with Sue is a very enjoyable experience too. It is hard work, for sure, but I have found my time here to be more like an engrossing conversation than a series of lectures and seminars. Certainly, in my aromatherapy classes I am utterly absorbed for every minute of the day. We have fun, we laugh, we talk, and it doesn’t feel like hard work at all (until I start the homework, that is!).
Sue is approachable, knowledgeable and eager to help her students to succeed. She shares her experience and is completely focussed on promoting the professional development of the complementary therapies industry by developing the skills and knowledge of the therapists involved in it. I can wholeheartedly recommend both Sue and her school.

Stemming
from a newly discovered desire to study holistic therapies, the
Sue Lincoln School appealed in the most surmountable sense, whilst
trawling through those possessing accreditation on the Internet.
Having enrolled on courses to study Anatomy and Physiology
and Therapeutic Massage-thus being the pre-requisites for the initial
choice of Clinical Aromatherapy-an introduction was arranged before
the first session, in which a meeting with the tutor and other members
of the group was organised: this proving to be a useful ice-breaker
preceding the actual start date of the course. Here, the Practitioner's
Diploma in Massage stands as the main focus of delineation.
On
commencement at the Evron Centre, the tutorials were held in a quiet
part of the building overlooking the sea, in a well ventilated,
adequately sized room enabling the accommodation of the final group
size. The tutorials were delivered in an open and informative
manner, a range of mediums being used to convey the information:
namely being handouts, power point presentations and practical step-by-step
demonstrations. Sue appeared extremely approachable when
questions were posed, being explanatory in her feedback, both during
tutorials and in correspondence out of the school, via telephone
and e-mail.
The
course was well-structured, in that it was split into the two weekly
modules; the first covering all aspects of the Swedish massage routine-which
would be used in the exam and as a basis for the case studies-together
with all the necessary massage theory required for the examination.
The second week was clearly more advanced, looking at the
use of massage for more specific health issues and sports injuries.
It also looked at further techniques to treat more specific
problems, such as frictions, myofascial release, passive exercises
and post-isometric stretching. Although the advanced massage
week appeared more challenging than the previous, again there was
plenty of opportunity for clarification and repetition of the material,
if necessary.
For examination
purposes, there was an opportunity to attend a revision session,
in which any problems with the practical or theory aspects of the
work were able to be aired: thus being incredibly useful to bring
to the fore any nagging misgivings about the material that had been
learned. Sue requested that the case studies and portfolio
be checked by her one month before the exam dates, in order for
her to decide whether each of us had performed successfully enough
to be entered into the exam. On a subjective level, it was
found to be a relief to be under pressure to finish the coursework
at this stage, in order to be able to concentrate solely on the
exam revision in the final month.
Overall,
the course was found to fulfil the expectations that were originally
hoped to be met. The structure was sound, the information
easily absorbed and the possibility of assistance and feedback,
readily available. The latter months of nose-to-grindstone
portfolio completion and the later cramming for theory were consequently
found to result in the promising grades that were hoped to later
develop into a successful career in massage therapy. The time that
was spent studying at the Sue Lincoln School also activated the
drive and willingness to study further courses in Holistic studies
at a later date; thus being Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Clinical
Aromatherapy. It seemed that the course had come along just
at the right time, at a period where many career choices had been
seized, then suddenly discarded: the discovery of the courses in
Holistic therapy-in areas such as massage and aromatherapy, which
had only too recently been valued as hobbies-offering
numerous possibilities for a successful future occupation.

Sue
Lincoln's courses are innovative and comprehensive covering a whole
range of holistic therapies.
Her
knowledge is vast. Sue approaches everything in a professional
manner. She is an exceptionally talented facilitator, empowering
her students and motivating them with her enthusiasm.
As
a student, although at times, the course work was hard, I felt supported,
encouraged to learn and free to express my opinions in an open minded,
non judgmental environment.
It
has been a pleasure to learn with Sue who has by example demonstrated
how to be an advocate for Complementary Therapies.

Sue Lincoln has been my tutor and mentor and I believe that this
is the reason that I have successfully passed exams and assessments.
Sue has provided me with the knowledge and confidence that I needed

I
have had the experience of other tutors, however in my opinion Sue
is outstanding in her field and I would wholeheartedly recommend
her as a tutor to anyone who is considering studying to become a
complementary therapist.

I
have known Sue Lincoln in connection with St Catherine's Hospice
for two years. I have always admired her commitment to her work.
Last year I mentioned that I would love to learn Aromatherapy, but
felt that at 54 I was too old. Sue persuaded me that age was not
a barrier and so I enrolled on her course to gain a Diploma in Aromatherapy.
After completing the course I now have my Qualification.
I
then enrolled on a course at her new School of Holistic Therapies
at the Evron Centre, Filey. This time to complete Reiki I, which
I now have. My next course is already booked for September 2004,
I am hoping to gain my Reiki II certificate.
Sue
teaches with such enthusiasm in any of her subjects that you are
always left wanting to learn more.
Thank
you Sue for opening up a new outlook on life.
