Chris Jarmey

Shiatsu Foundation Course

April 2008

The Foundation Course (Stage One) is for beginners seeking more than the 'taster' provided by a Basic Skills Workshop. It is held over 3 days of tuition on the non-residential courses.  There are no prerequisites for this course.

During this course you will learn the comprehensive technique forms and theory necessary to give a full body Japanese Bodywork session for the relief of stress and minor ailments.

This course is the foundation for continuing onto the Japanese Bodywork, On-Site Bodywork and Shiatsu Therapy courses. It can however be taken as a standalone course for amateur application or use of the techniques within therapists' current modality/ies.

Chris Jarmey has been practising and teaching Shiatsu since 1974, having served several terms as the Education Officer, Medical Liaison Officer and Assessment Panel member for the Shiatsu Society. In addition, Chris has specialist skills in therapeutic eastern and western exercise, and has been practising and teaching Yoga and Qigong for over 30 years.
