How
Long is the Course?
This
programme is delivered in two modules attending one day a month
for 10 months.
Prerequisite
for Course
Students
must hold a recognised Anatomy and Physiology Certificate or work
towards the IEB Anatomy & Physiology Certificate in conjunction
with taking the Massage Diploma.
The
course is assessed by:
- Full
attendance of the course 70 hours tutor contact
- Completed
case studies 50 hours
- Theoretical
examination 3 hour duration
- Practical
examination 1 ½ hour duration
- Background
reading is expected throughout the course
- Continual
assessment through assignment and portofolio work

Home
Study
An
integral part of the course is time spent in home study, of both
theory and practice. An important feature of this Diploma course
is the continuous assessment and support of the students. The School
expects a high level of student commitment throughout the course,
both in and out of School.
Examinations
At
the end of the course students sit a 3 hour Massage theory examination
paper, plus a 90 minute practical exam, where massage techniques
as well as client care and standards of Health, Safety and Hygiene
are assessed. Students also need to submit written evidence of case studies totalling 50 hours.
